Our Programme

Programme

We co-create, co-produce and co-commission with local people that we call Back to Ours Hub Members – they’re usually in the driving seat!

From going to see work to talking to artists, our programme is developed through discussion;

Questions we’re always asking:

  • Is the work of quality?
  • Is this something new for people?
  • Will it excite people?
  • Is it risky?
  • Does it develop existing audiences? Or develop new ones?
  • Can people resonate with the work?
  • Why programme this particular work/artist? Why now?
  • Will people want more?
  • Is this an opportunity to support underrepresented diverse artists?
  • Can the work be presented to a high standard?
  • Does this support artists to make new work and explore innovative ideas?
  • Is the work interesting and challenging?
  • Are we being ambitious?

People deserve to see and experience the very best – We aim to give people and families of all ages an amazing time, knowing these experiences will make them want more of what arts, culture and heritage can offer.
