Programme
We co-create, co-produce and co-commission with local people that we call Back to Ours Hub Members – they’re usually in the driving seat!
From going to see work to talking to artists, our programme is developed through discussion;
Questions we’re always asking:
- Is the work of quality?
- Is this something new for people?
- Will it excite people?
- Is it risky?
- Does it develop existing audiences? Or develop new ones?
- Can people resonate with the work?
- Why programme this particular work/artist? Why now?
- Will people want more?
- Is this an opportunity to support underrepresented diverse artists?
- Can the work be presented to a high standard?
- Does this support artists to make new work and explore innovative ideas?
- Is the work interesting and challenging?
- Are we being ambitious?
People deserve to see and experience the very best – We aim to give people and families of all ages an amazing time, knowing these experiences will make them want more of what arts, culture and heritage can offer.
