‘Our City’ is coming….Saturday 14th March 2026, Hull City Centre.
This community-led spectacular will be a huge celebration of local identity, made with and for the people of Hull.
It celebrates our location by the water – the idea of waves of activity moving from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, connecting communities and building into a magical city centre event.
Our City will include two fun-filled processions: one in the daytime, one at night. Both will travel through the city centre, creating a carnival atmosphere on the streets, before arriving in Queen Victoria Square for more celebrations. And we want YOU to be part of it!
Whether you participate as an individual or as part of a group (friends, family, neighbours, sports club, youth club, dance group etc), we’d love you to get involved!

Four captivating show globes. Which is your favourite?
Both our daytime and our night-time processions will feature four captivating show globes. Each show globe is themed, shaping four different parts of each procession – and participants get to choose which theme they are part of.
Within each theme, we will be telling stories of Hull’s communities and history.
Here’s a rundown of each one:
Enchanted Flower – a magical world filled with butterflies, charm and wonder.
Living Snow – a winter wonderland, set to bring joy whatever the weather!
Mystic Mirror – playful, while offering us the chance to think deeper about how we see ourselves.
Sea Sphere Mermaid – a mystical mermaid, conjuring up dreams of the seas.
