Hologram Jukebox
Commissioned and co-produced by Back to Ours
Working with our digital partners, internationally acclaimed multimedia artist’s Davy and Kristin McGuire, the world’s first Hologram Jukebox was co-commissioned and produced by us and premiered in our Bransholme Chat shop.
We wanted Hull audiences to be the first to experience the Jukebox, putting a bespoke token inside, choosing their performer and watching them ‘come to life’ with a 3D performance inside.
Artist and dancer Kristin appeared alongside poet Dean Wilson, ‘codhead skank’ party band Bud Sugar, Elvis impersonator Memphis Pete, burlesque performer Millie Dollar, rap/grime artist Chiedu Oraka and musician Dyr Sister and our Australian circus partners Casus.
Since the premiere the Hologram Jukebox is on the move, going right to people’s doorsteps across the city. It’s currently at Harrison Park for residents to enjoy, and we’ll keep you posted about where it goes next…
