Circus FAQs
Coming to our Bransholme circus shows in May half-term? Here’s some info you might find useful.
What is it?
A gorgeous red and white Big Top – called the MaryBelle – which we’re going to put three shows in for May half-term.
What shows are there?
There’s three different shows to choose from – see one, or see them all!
The Queen’s Knickers – a very funny children’s musical about The Queen’s knickers being nicked from TaleGate Theatre.
The Lost In Translation Family Cabaret – expect laughs, cheekiness, performers flying through the air and loads of acrobatic stunts in this hour of amazing circus and cabaret skills.
Chores – two cheeky children are asked to tidy their rooms, but instead they end up climbing, flipping, rollerskating and blasting each other with a toilet roll gun! Laugh-out-loud clowning and loads of cool stunts.
The Hogwallops – a colourful story of a chaotic family with thrills, gasps and loads of laughs. You’ll see clowning, juggling and amazing tricks on the floor and in the air.
Where is it?
Heartlands Park – that’s between Minehead Road and Holwell Road, HU7 4HW. You’ll be able to see the Big Top, but here’s a map that shows you how to get from Bransholme Chat (in North Point) to the circus site (where the Back to Ours logo is). There’ll also be signage along the way so you know you’re going in the right direction!
I live nearby – will it be noisy?
From the week beginning Mon May 22 you’ll be seeing a lot of activity from us on the park, including putting up the Big Top ready for the event. The build for the Big Top will start on Fri 27 May. There’s three different shows – the earliest show starts at 11am and the latest will be finished by 8.30pm.
We’re hoping you won’t hear anything too different from normal, but you can talk us about any concerns by calling 07442 205 524.
